we use ASE 11.5 on NT4, and jconnect with PowerJ.
in the URL for the connection , we have
jdbc:sybase:Tds:[host]:[port]

I want to know if it possible to specify the SERVER NAME (DSQUERY
environment variable), instead of the PORT NUMBER ?

Regards,
François

If you utilize JNDI then you can accomplish the same type of thing as an
interfaces file. This allows you to utils a server such as LDAP to keep
this type of information consistant for your entire network.
