Hi,

We have to reach two different database server from pc client. One of
the server is with version 10 and the other one is version 11.

Is it possible for the pc client to work with 2 server with differents
version ?

If so, How can we install it on the pc client ?

If you know where I can get those info. please tell me ?

Thank you very much

Rémi Roy

11.0.3.2 is y2k compliant and 10 version is no longer supported, if you
got 11.0 version then that too is very old.

Yes, depends on what clients you use, what version and what patches. This
also depends on what commands you execute on these servers also.

There are various clients - the classical openclient (bcp, isql etc),
server manager or sqsh or ODBC or other freeware tools. Depends on what
is your requirement - if you need to only execute sqls then openclient
utilities/libraries would be sufficient.. If you need to generate ddls
then its possible to use commercial/freeware available on the net. If you
use VB or PB as fornt ends then you may need ODBC.

I would suggest you to contact tech support for more information regarding
sybase's PC clients compatible with versions that you have. Lastly, it
would be a good idea to upgrade the servers to higher versions.
