All,
I created a linked server in SQL, to able able to see MS Access tables.
I provided the 'Provider name','Provider String' and Data location as
they are specified in online help that comes with SQL Server7.0.
When I run the query;
select * from linkserver1.mydb.dbo.customers
I get the message 'Msg: 7303, level 16, state 2, line 1: cannot start
your application, work group info file is missing or opened by another
user'.

i know that access db file is not open and I am using same username on
both SQL and Access.
Could someone possibly help with either the Right parameters to create
link server or this error message? I would appreciate.

You need to post it to MS sqlserver forum. This is Sybase adaptive server,
earlier known as Sybase sqlserver NG
