Is it possible to mirror a device to a mapped network drive. I've tried
and keep getting disk init errors when I try to create the device.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you *have* to mirror over the network I'd suggest you look into a
data storage solution, e.g., EMC ... maybe even your hardware provider.
These folks 'specialize' in the type of thing you're trying to do. Of
course, it'll cost you a pretty penny and there are usually some
limitations to just how far you can go with networked disk drives.

Sybase does not allow to create disk devices (or dump devices) on mapped
network volumes / drives.
You would most probably flood your network and slow your ASE / SQL server
down to a crawl anyway, because of the I/O activity to the device, if you
were allowed to do this.
