Hi,

Is there a way for me to connect 2 or more physical servers to run a
query.

I am trying to run a query, which I want to execute on 2 databases
residing on 2 servers but with the same database structure.

Thanks for your help

Mahmood

Hi Mahmood,

If your servers are ASE 11.5 or higher, you can use the CIS proxy table
feature to make it
appear that tables on other ASE servers are local to your server for
doing SELECTS, JOINS, etc.

Read up on these items in particular: sp_addobjectdef, create existing
table.

If you are running something with a lower version, I suggest you
upgrade.
