I want to schedule DBCC checks on a database, whilst outputting the
results to a file. I use this command:

sqladv -i <script_filename_to_run> -o <output_filename>

This works, in that SqlAdv springs up and runs the script, however the
output filename contains nada/zilch/zero/nothing... Yet, if I keep the
session active & so say a select from a table of something, hey presto -
the output file is created and logs the select statement & output. Why
isnt it logging my dbcc command ????

All the script does is run a dbcc checkdb on a sindle database.

any ideas ?

tks
Will
