G'Day,

Has anyone received a 'tds packet error' on ASE 11.9.2, ebf 8702 or
ebf8741

Generally the only way to get rid of the error is to reboot the server.
It occurs when running stored procedures, for example sp_help, sp_who,
sp_cacheconfig. After rebooting the server it will remain error free for
a couple of days before the error returns.

I checked the hardware for errors - none,
the error log file shows nothing.
The error will occur on the console aswell.

Has anyone seen this error before on 11.9.2???

thanks in advance

tds packet errors are generally caused when a packet is received by the
server that is not in the agreed upon structure that was negotiated with the
client. You need to see what is happening on the network to cause this.
