Hi all

Can anyone suggest how to solve a Dr Watson Exception error when running
BCP.

I have experienced this twice now. The first time on a Development NT
Server and I could only fix it by re-installing Sybase.

I now have the same problem on a live E-commerce Web Server running
Intershop 4 with Sybase. I am not too happy about re-installing and
would be grateful if anyone knows the answer to the problem.

I run BCP from the Sybase \ Bin directory and the command is something
like this:-

bcp mydatabase..table out catalog.txt -SISSERVER -Usa -t"," -r\n

enter the password

then BANG. Dr Watson Exception Error in Address ...

Any ideas?

Sarah

Going from memory, we used to have a problem where this would happen if
there was an invalid host entry in the interfaces file. Try creating a new
interfaces file with only the server you want in it (not as a solution, just
as a test). Remember to ensure there is a final carriage return after the
last entry.

cheers,
tonyi

Tony

This appears to be a problem with the version of BCP we were running.

We replaced version 10.X.X with 11.1.1 and the problem disappeared

Thanks
Sarah
