I am using sybatch to make an installation of ASE 11.5.1 on Windows NT
4.0. This works fine with the modifications outlined in the sample file
provided in the sample/server directory.
When running the installation under Windows 2000 it seems the sybatch
utility stops somewhere in between. The SQL Server is created and
entries are made in the registry. This server can be started and it
seems to work without problem. Unfortunately there are no entries for
the backup server and no batchfile in the install directory. However
starting the backupserver from the command line works...
I could not find any error looking through the log files created during
the installation. All log messages are the same as under NT.
When I try to restart the computer after the installation the system
fails to start and stops with a Stop-Screen:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated
unexpectedly
with a status of 0xc000000d (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.

Anyone made the same experience or any idea what the problem could be!?

Thanks in advance

Peter Fopma

From my last question about sybatch I know there are some people out there
which used the sybatch utility...

Nobody ever used it under Windows 2000? Please let me know - even if it
does work for you. Then I know at least that the problem must be somewhere
else.

Thanks
Peter
