Two questions:
1.) Does anyone know how we may move our application shortcut to the Today
screen?
2.) Does anyone know how to make only one program accessible on the PPC? We
would really like to restrict the users to our application (no sense running
the battery out with solitaire). I saw a kiosk solution for about 1k.

Thanks,

Greg

Greg,

1) This is something that we are working on for Pocket PowerBuilder. I have
added shortcuts to the start menu, but not the Today screen.

2) Haven't come across this type of software. Let us know if you find
anything useful.

Spb Kiosk Terminal 2.0

But some things could be done (cheaper) by yourself:

1) Run in full screen mode to prevent switching to other applications using
Start menu and Smart Minimize (X) button (and remove them)

2) Disable hardware keys to prevent switching to other applications using
hardware keys

3) The application is automatically started after a soft-reset

This could be found on codexchange using my WinCE API stuff and maybe with the
notifcation API.

Berndt:

I am using the WinCE API examples on CodeXChange. I have been trying to get
"hide taskbar" to work all afternoon. I can get "hide starticon" to work. I
assume that "hide taskbar" will make the blue taskbar (with start, OK, and
system) disappear? Compiled with Windows2000/PPB version 1 build 91.
Deployed to iPAQ PPC 2002.

Please advise.

Berndt:

I think I have a solution. After the API call, move the window up to fill
the 'free' space.
