I am sure I am missing a property. On the menu bar the full
text of the menu is not displayed. For instance menu text of
'Action' is displayed as 'Act...'. Is this normal or is
there a property I can set???

This happens when a shortcut is used like &Action giving Act...
On the desktop the Alt + A invokes the menuitem, on the device there is no
Alt key and the string is truncated with dots.
Just another of those WinCE differences.

I am hitting this same issue after I upgraded from PK 1.5 to 2.0.1 (Build
688). I had the full word "Stats" as the last of three menu items. After
the upgrade, it displays as "Sta..." I am not using any shortcuts (&). The
menu items display correctly when the app is run in the IDE. I created a
backup before allowing 2.0.1 to migrate my application. If I use that code
with PK 1.5, I go back to the full "Stats" in my menu item.

I appreciate any info.

I have seen this with main menu items that have no sub-menu items beneath
but this only happens when running on PPC2002 devices. PPC2003+ devices
display the main menu fine.

I am using main menu items that have no sub-menu items. The reason I
upgraded to 2.0 was to get their Clicked events to work. However, I'm pretty
sure I have PPC 2003. I'm using a Toshiba e805. The About screen shows:
Microsoft Pocket PC
Version 4.20.1081 (Build 13100)
c 1996 - 2003 Microsoft Corporation

I did some testing and found that the problem is reproduced on my Dell Axim,
Version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178)
But another device (ASUS-MYPAL) version 4.21.1088 (Build 14132) works fine,
no dots.
A simple change to the menu bar items will fix it - add a trailing blank if
there is no submenu.
i.e. "Stats " instead of "Stats" kinda hokey I know, but if this really
bugs people we could always
add a trailing blank in the PocketBuilder IDE . I suspect that the problem
has to do with the
O/S font metrics on different versions/devices.

John,

That worked for my first window, but on the called window, I needed to add 2
spaces after the text to get rid of the ellipsis. Thankfully I won't be
going any deeper than the second window, and it only has 2 menu items.
Thanks for the help.
