Hi,
I've installed an apllication (PB1.0 Build 109) on my ACER n10 Pocket PC and always get this error when trying to run the application.

LoadLibrary Failed on VMCE

Following files have been copied to windows directory
  • pkvm10u.dl

  • pkbgr10u.dll

  • pkodb10u.dll

  • pkodb10u.ini

  • odbc32.dll

  • dbodbc8.dll

Also, can I put all these files in the application dir on the pocketpc or does this not work?

What engine is needed to connect to a local database on the pocket pc?

Thanks

Hi,

I would recommend to use the "Pocket PowerBuilder.ARM.CAB" file to setup the
runtime on your device.

The dll files have to reside within the windows directory of your device.

Currently only ASA for CE is supported on your device, again a .CAB file exists
on your machine which you should use to install the runtime (and the sample DB
and DSN).

I have done this, no problem...
But I still get the same error message...

Also, if I try to deploy my application through ezsetup, I get following
error...
"Application Manager cannot install this application on your mobile device
due to an invalid setup file. Reinstall and try again."
I have tried the cabfile manually on the Pocketpc and the files are unpacked
as should....
setup.ini file seems to be correct.

Any idea?

Looking at the ACER website it looks like a standard PPC-2002 device.
And, with Berndt's followups, it looks like you're doing
everything right....
I'll have to get one of these into development to see what's
happening.

The first problem is solved, loadlibrary failed...
It was my own mistake, I've put the Desktop PPB dll's onto the pocketPC, it
works fine now with the proper dll's

Now the second problem, ezSetup....

Thanks

What were the Desktop PPB dll's, and how "exactly" did you
correct this problem? I am having both problems you are.
