I have close(this) in the close event of the window to close a detail window
so that it can re-open a new window with new data.

This works in development, however when I compile it onto the PDA it doesn't
close the window properly and when you reopen the window with a different
record it doesn't refresh the data.

Should I be using a different event for the PDA close.

Thanks in advance

Linda

Linda;

The Close Event is letting you know that the window is ALREADY closed! So
using the Close ( ) method at this point is meaningless.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I have a summary window where you click on a record to show it's main data
screen. This works fine in the 1st instance, but when you click the 'X' for
close on the PDA and then click on a different record the 1st records data
is repeated.

You are correct about the close event, but it still works on the PC but not
the PDA.

Hope this clarifies things

Thanks in advance

Linda

Linda;

The PPC is different the native MS-Windows. Make sure that you check the
"CLOSE" property is TRUE and the "Smart Minimize" (SM)property is FALSE. For
the PPC, the SM property allows a minimize/maximize without closing the
dialog!

Regards .... Chris

Yes - exactly as Chris said...

The "X" is actually a "minimize" event (don't ask me why, that's
the Pocket-PC standard).
The "OK" is needed to actually close the window.
