I use Pocket Powerbuilder to develop a application in
iPAQ5400. I allow users to press hardware buttons in
iPAQ5400 to perform some functions in my PPB application. I
think window API can help it. But I don't know how to do it.
Please advise me.

I believe there's a sample up on CodeXchange to hook your
application to the hardware buttons.
It's in the windows API section, I believe it's "PocketAPI.zip".

I have studied your API application. This sample application
demonstrated that the PPB had detect a user press certain
hardware buttons, however, it did not indicate which buttons
that user had pressed. Please advise me how to do the
coding.

Hi ,
when you have the pocketapi sample you just need to code the following
in the ue_keyup event eg. of the window w_start:
choose case Message.Wordparm
case 193
MessageBox("Hardware button", "Button 1")

case 194

MessageBox("Hardware button", "Button 2")

case 195

MessageBox("Hardware button", "Button 3")

case 196

MessageBox("Hardware button", "Button 4")
end choose

there you go,

cheers
Klaus

I'm not sure but I guess you need access to the biometric api in that
case - probably someone else can add something here ?
