Hi there!

We've a big problem using the ADS Local Server!

WHen trying to connect (with Auth) a second Time (other connection not
closed) to a Table, we're always getting a 7078 Error (The ADS DBS cannot
authenticate the user ...)

Any solutions ??

THX

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Look into the ADS_ERR.DBF and report any error logged around the time that
the second connection was being tried.

Are the 2 connections from the same computer or different computer? If they
are from different computer, make sure the same ANSI character set is
specified in the adslocal.cfg files on the two computer.

Also make sure your server-type settings are the same. One might be
using remote server and the other might be using local server (In this
case you'll likely see a 7008 error right above the 7078 in the
ads_err.dbf log).
