quick question if somebody knows it..

I am using Sybase ASA 9.0 developer edition

I am using iAnywhere data provider

which files are important if I want to deploy my application to another
machine who doesnt have ASA 9.0 installed....

1) iAnywhere.Data.AsaClient.dll
2) dbdata9.dll (where this file should stay on the machine)

any other files required..?

See the help section called "Adaptive Server Anywhere .NET data provider
required files"
Basically, both files can go anywhere in the path or in your program
directory.
The iAnywhere.Data.ASAClient dll must be registered using the gacutil.exe
program (which ships with the .Net framework)

- I register ASAclient.dll to GAC
- I put dbdata9.dll to windows dir

my site hangs...I am using a single xyz.db file in my project on a single
machine. Do I need engine also....how that works...

You will need an engine to host the database file. See the documentation on
Deploying | Database Servers for more information.

FYI, it's not required to register the dll into the gac. It offers the
advantage of allowing multiple apps to share the same dll, but it has the
disadvantage of multiple apps sharing the same dll. <s>
