You may want to set a resource limit so that any process that runs longer
than say 10 minutes
will be automatically aborted by the database server. ASE allows you to
limit the amount
of time any process can run. You can also find out what the spid of the
process is by looking in the ASE error log and finding the spid in the third
argument in
the error messages:

00:0000:00021:2003/01/26 blah blah

21 being the spid.

The you can issue a 'kill command' in isql on that spid.

Hope this helps.
