I've just started using PB7 and I'm having trouble figuring out how to
duplicate the old pb6.5 method of pasting a procedure declaration into a
locat external function on my transaction object.

Can anybody provide a step-by-step?

Open up the script painter within the custom transaction user object, and in
the middle DDLB which generally says "instance variables", change it to say
"local external fuctions".

Now right click in the scripting area, and select Paste Special -> SQL ->
Remote Stored Procedures.
