How well does version 8 perform in a 10-15 user PC
client/server environment?

ASA should have no problems handling that type of environment. Having said
that, it would be trivial for me to code an application that would bring ANY
multi-user RDBMS system to it's knees with huge transaction that do a lot of
blocking and locking.
