To read up more on assertion errors review this doc:

"I've got an assertion! What should I do?"

Without backups and if there is no other way to get around this
then you may only have 3 options available to you:

- try rebuilding the database [assuming it is only the
free list that is affected]

- starting from scratch with an empty database and
re-key the information you require

- pay for the salvage service we offer [billed at an
hourly rate, and there are NO guarantees of success]

If your free list is your only problem, then rebuilding that
database may still be possible. Try using

DBunload -u -an new.db -c "UID=...;PWD=...;DBF=<yourfile>" .\unload

from a command prompt. This may work but there is no way of
knowing the source of the damage or the percentage of the database
affected.
