I am trying to develop the most simple of web applications
in Visual Studio.NET 2003 using VB and connecting to an SQL
Anywhere 9.0 database (developer edition). If I just add a
blank line, save and run the application, aspnet_wp.exe goes
to 99% CPU utilization about half of the time. This is a
nasty bug - I can't develop any application in a reasonable
time frame given this bug! Is there a fix? Am I doing
something wrong? Attached is the project with everything
cut out but the bare minimum - just open a connection and
close it.

Afraid I don't have time to run your example right now, but could you try
breaking into it with the debugger and seeing where it's hung up? From the
debug menu you have to choose "Process" and attach to aspnet_wp.exe,
choosing ".Net CLR Debugging" when prompted. Then, run the app and choose
Debug/Break All when it is hung in this 99% situation.
