I am having trouble with executing a view that I migrated from ver 5.5
platform to ver 9.0 evalulation version.
The view runs fine on ver 5.5 but when I try to run it on 9.0, the database
engine simply terminates and ISQL displays a communication failure message.
This happens even before any data is displayed in the ISQL data window
Can someone tell me why a view that has been running perfectly on ver 5 for
a few years now does not run on ver 9?

It sounds like the server is having a problem, which then terminates
the connection to the client (ISQL).
Is there an error message visible on the engine console window? You
can trap the console display to a file with the dbeng9.exe -o
filespec.txt command line option.
Also please show use the CREATE VIEW statement. It will be inside the
reload.sql file you probably used to migrate.
