This is just my personal opinion after I read the supported features list.

I think that Appeon should support drag and drop as soon as possible. Also it
should support dynamic DataWindow and dynamic (visual) user object--there is no
way for me to migrate the app to web because these two are the central pieces of
my application. If it is too difficult to add those features, then Appeon
should provide an easy way for me to plug in my own JavaScript for the missing
fearures.

Price of the tool should be lowered to $5000 to $6000 for me to become
comfortable to buy it. A lot of server software products are priced at this 5k
to 6k per CPU, more or less.

Sybase has already listed Drag & Drop, Dynamic DataWindows, and Dynamic
Visual User Objects as potential future Appeon enhancements. However, the
PowerBuilder applications that use the Drag & Drop feature normally employ
straightforward workarounds such as the following that are listed in the
Appeon Migration Guide at
http://sybooks.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-apn/apng0270e. Also, it should
be noted that if these powerful PowerBuilder GUI features were easy to code
in a web browser, then probably several would have already provided this
functionality years ago and the reality is that the core of the coding for
at least Appeon's current feature set began nearly four years ago.

To workaround Drag & Drop, you can add command buttons with "Copy/Move >>"
and "<< Copy/Move" along with a potential list of DataWindow columns or
column numbers that simply read through the source control for the selected
content (DataWindow or otherwise), and write the content to the target
control and before the specified DataWindow column.

Depending on the type of the source control, different functions may be used
to copy the selected content from the source control:

Source Control Type Functions to be Used
DataWindow IsSelected()
SingleLineEdit and MultiLineEdit Copy()
ListBox State()
ListView FindItem(), GetItem()
TreeView FindItem(), GetItem(), ListViewItem.Selected

Depending on the type of the target control, different functions may be used
to paste content into the target control:

Source Control Type Functions to be Used
DataWindow RowsCopy(), RowsMove(), etc.
SingleLineEdit and MultiLineEdit Paste()
ListBox AddItem(), InsertItem()
ListView AddItem(), InsertItem()
TreeView InsertItem()

There are several different editions for Appeon pricing and questions about
pricing should be asked directly to your account manager. If you are not
sure who your account manager is, feel free to email me privately with your
contact information at Rex.Geissler@sybase.com and I will have your account
manager contact you.

Regards, Rex
