Hi I am traing to run database query from Excel 2000 against
database SQL Anywhere. Everything is fine but tre return data is not
in Unicode(Greek). On some other databases the conversion works fine - they
are convertet
to Unicode in greek .
Any ideia how this conversion work in Excel 2000 and
why is working only in selected databases?

1. Are you using charset option in ODBC driver description?
2. It also may be the result of on-server charset conversion in ASA8/9. You
can play with -ct+ or -ct- when starting server.

Just write always which version of ASA and which build are you using.
i.e.8.0.2.4399 or something/.

I have similar problem connecting
to ASA database from MS Access 2000 or Access XP.

But i have no problem connecting from MS Access 97. Maybe with Excel 97
would be ok.

As I know it not depends of ASA version. Tested with ASA6 and ASA9

Because I can not migrate to new version of ms access.
I use encoding cp1257

Thanks
Linas
