Anyone tried burning the OneBridge software on to the ROM of XDA(PPC device) so that when ever you hard reset the device, OneBridge is automatically installed and configured?

thanks,
Pratheep

Hi,
Flashing should work fine

Tthere was an issue with CE on version 4.0 with the preconfigured Appregupdate.
The OBMG client looks for this file in the root (C:\) and not the current directory (the flash memory).
I've reported this issue but have no more knowledge.

When you mean flashing, do you mean running the install from a SD Card?

no, i mean:
Putting it in the flash memory
adding an entry to the .cpy file (this is runned automatically after a cold boot) (i'm not sure about the exact file name to use for the .cpy functionality, my collegue helped me out on this one)

It installs OK but settings from Appregupdate.pdb are not taken along.

So in the end you have a reinstalled application but no configuration.

You can place the appregupdate.pdb in the flash memory and copy it to the
root folder using the .cpy file.

The syntax should be the following:
cp1:  the file and location to copy from
cp2:  the location and name to copy the 'cp1:' file to

We have used it in the past, but the Extended ROM from the newest BIOS version
for the german T-Mobile MDA II is now write-protected :(
