I would like to know if it's possible to programmatically
change the "Mask" property for a date column (i.e.,
dw_control.Object.columnname.EditMask.Mask = '[date]'). The
'[date]' mask represents international date settings and if
used, datawindow picks the date format from Window's
regional settings.

However, we would like to have this facility optional and so
we tried to set the "Mask" property programatically in the
"constructor" of the datawindow control. But this failed to
produce the desired result. It appears that the datawindow
always goes by the "Mask" setting that's setup at design
time. We also tried changing it in the "Open" event of the
window, but in vain.

We would be glad, if someone could let us know whether this
is possible. Please clarify.

Hi Rajan,

The "Mask" property must be specified in the painter, and cannot be
programmatically changed. For more details, please refer to Appeon Help, the
DataWindow object and the properties section.

Or, you can describe more clearly why you want to change the "Mask"
dynamically, for what purpose, Appeon engineer will try to help you
workaround the unsupported feature.
