Has anyone ever encountered a synch error that reads
"protocol error" or "error: upload failed with client error
810697541". Using Mobilink 7.03.2076. This message appears
on the Mobilink console when a specific field worker is
trying to synch.

Thanks,
Terry

That remote is probably using a newer version of the MobiLink client
(either UltraLite or dbmlsync). The version and build number of the
MobiLink server needs to be the same or newer than that of the remote,
or you can get protocol errors.

Cheers,

Graham

You'll get this error if the remote client is using a higher minor version
than the MobiLink server. The only exception is that in the v703 codeline,
the protocol version changed in an EBF at build 2107. If your remote client
is using a build a v703 higher than 2107, you will either need to get them
to downgrade to 703.2076, or upgrade your ML Server to a build above 2107.

Incidently, using the sybase.public.sqlanywhere.ultralite newsgroup is
most likely a better forum.

There is also:
sybase.public.sqlanywhere.mobilink
