I create a non visual object inherited from datastore using:

_SQLCA.SyntaxFromSQL(sp_sql,'',ls_err_buffer)
...
li_result = THIS.CREATE(sp_sql_syntax, ls_err_buffer)

no error here

but when i try to retrieve data, i get such an error

"Select error: Data-conversion resulted in overflow."

I ran the query in interactive, and there was no error
I also tried debugging, copied generated syntax and later created a visual
DW object from it.
Data retrieved, no error occured

Maybe someone allready had something like that?

Thanks

I'll bet you're using MS SQL Server, right? I had the same issue, but it's
been a while since it occurred, so let me think...

I believe this was happening when we were using the native database support.
Switching to OLEDB solved the issue, if memory serves.

If PB6.x, make sure that you are running PB 6.5.1 and a current EBF.

You are using a native driver MSS? I believe that object name size was more
restrictive in DBLIB and as a result in MSS. Do you have the same problem
with a connection using ODBC or OLEDB?
