I can set repagent for Oracle work completly now.
Oracle9i-->RepAgent12.5-->RS12.5-->ASE12.5.0.3
I use same step for repagent for MSSQL2000.
But it's not work.
MSSQL2000-->RepAgent12.5-->RS12.5-->ASE12.5.0.3

Then I remove permission from db_maint user at ASE12.5.0.3.
I expect, it should return permission denied
writes to RS_errorlog when I insert data to MSSQL2000.
Since RS_errorlog not have any error, mean by that,The RA
not send anythings to RS? Or RS cannot get anythings from
RA?

Can anyone tell me please? How to isolate this problem?

Add Information:
I use IP Address instead of ComputerName and Servername.
I run test_connection command is OK.
rs_source_ds = name of RA instance
rs_source_db = pubs
I use username "sa" at every instants with same password.
And I use "sa" for create pdb_xlog.

Thank a lot,
zeroman

Hi, Zeroman,

See Chapter 6 of the RepAgent Admin Guide for Troubleshooting information:
http://sybooks.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-ra/rag1250e/ra125ag/@Generic__BookView

To determine if RepAgent is actually sending data to RepServer, do the
following:

Before you start your RepAgent, clear out the logs in your
$SYBASE/rax-12-5/<instance>/log directory. If you want to save them, create
a subdirectory and move them there. This will allow RepAgent to create all
new logs when it starts up.

* Resume replication at the RepAgent.
* at RepAgent, run the ra_statistics command
* Insert data into your marked primary table.
* at RepAgent, run the ra_statistics command several times at about 10-15
second intervals and watch the following statistics (see the RepAgent doc
for details about these statistics):

[ 10] LR Number of XLog scans
[ 11] LR Avg unprocessed operations per XLog scan
[ 13] LR Number of operations replicated
[ 14] LR Number of transactions replicated
[ 15] LR Number of XLog operations skipped (maint_user, unmarked tables)
[ 21] LTI Number of LTL commands sent

If the number of LTL commands sent > 0, this means that RepAgent is
successfully sending data to RepServer. If RepServer is having trouble
applying that data to the replicate, you'll need to troubleshoot that, too.
RepServer has a whole book dedicated to troubleshooting:
http://sybooks.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-rs/rsg1260e/rs_tsg/@Generic__BookView

Another good troubleshooting resource is Chapter 9 of the RepServer
Heterogeneous Replication Guide:
http://sybooks.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-rs/rsg1260e/rshetrep/@Generic__BookView

Thanks,
Wanda

Hi,
I check it already that LTL commands sent = 0 after I insert
data about 10 minutes passed.
Where should I check next?

thank,
zeroman

What is the value of this statistic?

> [ 15] LR Number of XLog operations skipped (maint_user,

> unmarked tables)

If it's > 0, then your maintenance user is doing the insert/update/delete
operations on the table, and RepAgent is configured to filter those out --
see the RepAgent property filter_maint_userid.

Thanks,
Wanda
