I'm developing an application using M-Biz Application
Edition 5.2.
Our target platform is a Siemens SX56 Pocket PC w/32MB ROM
and 32MB RAM. If the amount of data being copied down during
a sync exceeds the internal storage limitations, how could I
instruct AvantGO to store this data on a Secure Digital
storage card on the PDA rather than internally?

You can use the SD card for storage, but it's all or
nothing. AG Connect recognizes that there is an SD card in
the slot and allows you to store the entire data store on
the card.

Good, I think we'll buy a big SD card and put all AvantGO
application and channel data on it. Can you explain how this
process would work in detail . .. or point me to a tutorial
or document that does?

Thanks again for your help,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,

On PocketPC, there are two registry settings that define where the
M-Business Client's data is stored:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AvantGo\DatabaseLocation
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AvantGo\SRSDatabaseLocation

DatabaseLocation defines where web channel data such as web pages,
urls and form submissions are stored.

SRSDatabase location defines where the XML Conduit's data is stored.

Change the values to a location on an SD card, and that's where the
client will store the data.
