Hi all,

is there anything on the list for 7.1 (or future versions) to enhance the
list of available context variables? What I mean is, if, let's say the
client
host name and/or IP address, and possibly other candidates?

These context variables might be useful in SQL script based triggers
for extending the current capability of tracking data changes with more
information.

Thank you,

Hi Thomas,

See my post below. It would be best to itemize your requests and send
them to advantage@extendesys.com, and also call your sales rep.

The Management API that you need is currently not available directly
through SQL. Chris Franz wrote a bunch of AEP that can provide this
kind of information to the SQL engine - but there are two showstoppers
for you:
1) It's only available in AEP (so you can't use it in a select)
2) It's only available for Windows servers (since they're written in
Win32DLL containers)

We can discuss that at the EAC in London.
