Hi,

Is ASA 8.01 able to be deployed in a Microsoft Advanced Server active/active
cluster configuration? I see information on the Sybase website about
configuring ASE in an active/active cluster but not ASA. If this is doable,
how much work is it?

Many thanks,
Law

ASA is not cluster aware but can be run in a clustered environment.

Let me elaborate a bit more, as I've received more detailed information.
I've got a client who would like to run ASA 8 not as a cluster for failover
purposes, but for loadbalancing purposes.

What they would like to do is setup the database on a SAN, and then create
the cluster on two machines, each pointing a service to the database. Then
client requests will be load balanced between the two.

Thanks again,
Law

ASA is not cluster aware and as such cannot use cluster features such as
load balancing.
