As most of you are aware, Galaxy release of ASE will have enhanced query
processing features. The Galaxy release is slated for next year with beta
beginning Q3 of this year. One of the areas we would like your feedback is
in diagnosis and resolution of issues relating to query processing.

We are soliciting your input in understanding:
1. Specific concerns and issues with query processing and query
performance.
2. Methodology and tools used for diagnosis.
3. What has worked and what has not.
4. What you would like to see in the product for Galaxy that would help
alleviate your current query processing challenges.

Based on your comments, we want to evaluate what we can and should do for
the Galaxy release of ASE.

Thanks in advance for you feedback.

Nanda,

Implement eventually MVC or as I suggested in this newsgroup on 06/13/2003
"Select stmt modification with 2 types of the result of select stmt", otherwise
all this query processing enhancements would be buried under locking, blocking, deadlocking issues again and I would be
unemployed )-:

Regards,
Eugene
