Good day!

I have some problem during execute long transactions under ASA 8.02 (EBF
4361 and 4398) under Windows XP.

At one time always only one client use table included into this transactions
in database trough ODBC driver.

Sometimes (not often but this transactions operate with money), executing
this transactions ( update 1 table, delete from 2 table, insert into 2
table, update 3 table, insert into 1 table, insert into 4 table) generate
exception - 'Can not allocate file buffer'. Sorry it is may be not correct
and free translate from Russia language from our client's report.

More! Fist 4 SQL operators committed in database in spite of the call
RollBack in client program after catch exception.

Under Windows 98 and Window 2000 this is error not observe.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

Best regards,

Igor Barchenko

Can you capture the SQLCODE immediately when the error occurs and post
the numeric value? Are you seeing error codes in the database console
window?

Have you disabled AutoCommit in your connection? It is enabled by
default in ODBC so a COMMIT is issued automatically after each DML
statement.

If you have a set of reproducible steps and an associated database, I
suggest you submit it either via Technical Support or via
http://casexpress.sybase.com/
