I have an ASA 9 database that I proxy the master reference tables.

I try this query and receive an error message.

UPDATE NV888 INNER JOIN drg2 ON NV888.drg_code_raw = drg2.drg_code SET
NV888.drg_code = drg2.drg_code

error - update operation attempted on non-updatable remote query

drg2 is the proxy table NV888 is the local table.

The NV888 has many drg records the drg2 table drg_code is the primary key.

Is there an ODBC settings I need to change.

The Server is ASA9 build 1271.

The user name I am using has DBA priveledges on both databases

I dont think you can do that.
I think you would have to either:
1) create a temporary table holding the ids of the remote table and
join to it.
2) Use a while loop.
