Thanks in advance

ASA 6.x offers simple encryption for the database file if you initialize a
new database with the dbinit -e option. This will make the file
unintelligible to a casual viewer of the file, but is not guaranteed to stop
someone determined to decipher the db file.
ASA 8.0 and later offers strong encryption via the AES encryption algorithm.
This activated using the dbinit -ek option.

In both cases, the Sybase Central database creation wizard should offer the
ability to enable encryption.
