I am getting a "Database server connection limit exceeded"
from my dot net application. I am using ASA 7.0 with a 10
connection license. I am closing the connection but it
appears that it is not being released. Any ideas?

Thanks!

DataWeb Dynamics

Code example:

OleDbConnection myConnection = new
OleDbConnection(Org.getDBString());

try
{
myConnection.Open();
}
catch(Exception err)
{
writer.Write("<span class=warning12>DB ERROR: " +
err.Message + "</span>\n");
}

OleDbCommand myCommand = myConnection.CreateCommand();
myCommand.CommandText = "select PageText from dev.PageText
where OrgID = " + Org.OrgID +
" and PageTextName = '" + sInfoBlockName + "'";

try
{
OleDbDataReader myDataReader = myCommand.ExecuteReader();
string sText = "";

if ( myDataReader.Read())
{
sText = myDataReader["PageText"].ToString();
}

writer.Write("<tr><td class=\"text9\" align=\"left\">" +
sText + "</td></tr>");

myDataReader.Close();
}
catch(Exception err)
{
writer.Write("<span class=warning12>WEBARC ERROR: " +
err.Message + "</span>\n");
}

myConnection.Close();

.NET connections by default use connection pooling. Do a search in this
newsgroup and/or sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general for ".net connection
pool" and you'll find lots of posts relating to this issue.

Here is a thread I found via Google Groups:

Hope this helps,
