Hi,

I get the following error message when I select TEST from the Lotus Notes
adapter settings (Onebridge 4.1, Lotus Notes 6.0.1):

"Loading Notes Adapter settings...OK
Initializing Notes (D:\Program Files\lotus\notes\notes.ini) as ID D:\Program
Files\lotus\notes\data\onebridge.id...Failed:
Unable to initialize 'D:\Program Files\lotus\notes\notes.ini' with id
'D:\Program Files\lotus\notes\data\onebridge.id'
Adapter diagnostics failed."

I have checked file and group permissions, reset the notes.ini files,
reinstalled the services and change service accounts. I have moved the
notes.ini and ID file to D:\Temp in case it didn't like the spaces in the
file paths. I can login with that notes.ini file and ID using the Lotus
Notes application. The onebridge account has read public documents
permissions to the domain address book.

Any ideas? Much appreciated,

Thanks,
B.

Hi,

Your problem is that the file notes, ini cannot be found. Make sure that its
available in the default directory (...\lotus\notes\notes.ini')

There is a Path issue concerned with this, Be sure to restart your server so
that the path entry added by OBMG is active. This should be the last entry
in the path. You might want to check that this is actually c:\program
files\lotus\... instead of c:\lotus\....

The only other thing I can come up with is a wrong password in the Notes
adapter for the onebridge.ID, but that will probably give another error.

Hi Herman,

The PATH seems to be OK - all entries are there and correct.
I have rebuilt the server and installed everything again, tried with a
different ID and notes.ini file but still the same error message - this
indicates to me there is an issue with the version of Lotus Notes installed
on the adapter server or the general configuration of Lotus Notes (all
Onebridge components are installed on a single server except DMZ Proxy).
Pratheep is coming out to the customer site to help on Thursday but any
further ideas appreciated,

Cheers,
B.

This error can arise if the account running the OneBridge service does not
have sufficient rights to the OneBridge data folder.
