Hi James,

Appeon web applications run on Appeon Server, which has Web Services built
into it so you can easily collaborate with other application servers
including .NET but Appeon Server does not run directly on top of .NET
because there is no built-in support for the PBVM in .NET.

Appeon Server also supports several different Web Servers including Appeon
Server Web Server, Microsoft IIS, Apache, and iPlanet/Netscape.

As a way of comparison, Appeon is perfect for building new Web and
Client/Server applications because it takes a fraction of the lines of code
(usually 4-10 times less lines of code) and time compared with J2EE or .NET
web architectures, let alone for converting existing applications because
there is a lot of re-use of existing code (usually 85-98%). And an Appeon
web application is much more productive for the users because it has a Rich
GUI.

You might want to look over the Pet World Comparison Study between Appeon
for PowerBuilder, J2EE, and .NET at http://appeon.net/petworld/.

Regards, Rex
