Hello everyone,

I'm working in a project with the following architecture:

PDA -> IIS(Redirector) -> Mobilink.

The first step (PDA->IIS) needs to be done with https, and my project
will be done in .NET/C#.

Is that possible(to code something based on a certification so it can
"talk" with IIS with HTTPS)? If so, there are any documentation/examples
regarding this?

I've seached for this documentation but did not have succes on it, so if
anyone had this problem or have some ideia of how to do this, please
post here.

Thanks in Advance,

Daniel Tiziani

Please, always post the version and build number of ASA that you are
using (e.g. use the command "dbeng9 -v" for ASA 9.x)

Are you targeting ASA on CE or UltraLite?

Yes, this is possible. However, we need to know if you are using ASA
(and dbmlsync) or UltraLite as the remote.

BTW: you might find other newsgroups would cater to these questions more
effectively.

For ASA on CE, try: sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general
For MobiLink, try: sybase.public.sqlanywhere.mobilink
For UltraLite, try: sybase.public.sqlanywhere.ultralite

For this question, you are probably best to ask in the ML newsgroup as
it really involves synchronization client and server configuration.

You are more than welcome to continue posting to this newsgroup for all
iAnywhere products. However, the majority of ML users and developers
hang out in the ML newsgroup and might not see your posts here.

Hope this helps,
greg.fenton

Hi Greg,

First, the info required: ASA 9.x Version "9.0.1 (1862)".

I'm targeting Ultralite on PocketPC2003 with C#/.NET
You said that is possible to communicate through HTTPS with the IIS,
that will then redirect to another machine running MOBILINK, would you
know any documentation regarding this? Or may be example?

Thanks for your time anyway, I'll post it to another newsgroup too.

I just responded on the ML newsgroup to your question and now saw this post.
I guess Greg was right that you might get more attention in the ML
newsgroups. :)

If you have follow up questions, the thread on the ML newsgroup is likely
the best bet, since it contains answers to the questions Greg asked and my
response.
