I am new user of ADS, I was using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 for a while, but
it seem many of convention I learned are not are useless in this ADS world.
I created a AFTER INSERT TRIGGER in one of my table so when data is added it
will also be added to some other table.
Trigger is getting executed but a blank record is added to second table
which is called from Trigger.

my trigger statment is very simple.

INSERT INTO CASHEDIT (DEPT) SELECT DEPT FROM __new;

so whenever application add data into TABLE1 via INSERT data get added into
CASHEDIT.

Can somebody guide me to key, telling me how effectively wirte Trigger etc.

Thanks,

Seems like it should work fine to me. Does the dept field in cashedit
happen to be an autoinc field (readonly)? That's the only thing I could
think of that would stop this from working.
