Is there a way to queue packages for Windows CE Direct
access Devices before they are discovered ? match-up
criteria would be the "Name" column in the machines table.

I need to queue a package for a device that is not yet
discovered. The client devices are using MA 5.2.1543 pocket
pc 2003 os.

Thanks

First, packages can be advertised to groups, so that *future* members in a
group can receive packages.

You can set up, say, a dynamic group with really loose filtering criteria
that you know newly identified devices will have (eg. name is not null
etc.).

However, don't count on "Name" as a unique identifier of devices, especially
in Pocket PC devices. It's common that Pocket PC devices report generic
device names. There can be a lot of devices having the same value in the
column you mentioned.

I have setup my group filtering correctly to idenity new
devices and each device will have a unique name.

Have discovered though that we CANNOT ADVERTISE a package
that has been created for DIRECT CE DEVICES to that group...
it does not show up at all in the list of advertised
packages ... when you do a right click on the group and move
to the Advertised packages TAB and then tap on ADD ...
doesnt appear there at all
