.Net provides the ability to create a user control and embed it in a web page.
Is it possible to include a DataWindow.Net datawindow control inside the user
control?

I created a User Control which is inherited from Windows.Forms.UserControl.

The User Control has a groupbox, a label, and a datawindow control. It is part
of a project where the outputtype is library.

I then created a windows application project and included the usercontrol on a
windows form. When I tested this the datawindow displays as expected.

I then created an Asp.Net web application project. I modified the html of
webform1.aspx to include the following:
<OBJECT id="MyWinControl1" height="800" width="800"
classid="http:WinControls.dll#WinControls.dwTest"
VIEWASTEXT>
</OBJECT>

I moved the dll created from the library project to the inetpub directory where
my web application is located. When I run the web page the control does not
display anything. I went back and removed the datawindow control, rebuilt the
library, and copied it to the web server. Now the Groupbox and label display as
expected.

I tried debugging by opening IE to the web page I created, attaching to the
process from VS.Net, and refreshing the web page. I also had a break defined on
the call to InitializeComponent and the first line of InitializeComponent. The
break stops at InitializeComponent but I am unable to step into it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't believe this is a supported environment. I do know that we
will be supporting ASP .NET applications in the next release. I have a
functioning prototype and it does a good job of rendering a DataWindow
in the browser (including graph DataWindows). We haven't announced a
schedule yet but we should have a Beta starting later this year.
