I've created a datawindow with some hidden computed fields off to the right
of each detail row. When displaying the datawindow in my .NET application,
the width of the datawindow object appears to be set too large so the user
can use the right arrow key to scroll the datawindow to the right,
displaying the area where these hidden controls are placed on the
datawindow.

Is there a way of setting the width of the datawindow object yourself to
stop this sideways scrolling?

Thanks,
Dave

The DataWindow engine calculates the width of the DataWindow by
identifying the right most control on the DataWindow whether its
visible property is set to true or false.

Your best option would be to move them back into the visible area of
the DataWindow and set their height and width to 0 (the DataWindow
painter will reset their size to something small like 8 and 9 but you
won't be able to see it). If you need to edit the computed field you
can select it in the control list tab.

The other option is to place them in the detail band below
the height divider. When you want to edit them just make the
detail band larger, make your changes and then resize the
detail band to the height you had it before.
