Nothing built-in. You cam emulate the behavior using state images and
some code.... what exactly is the effect you're after?

I want to be able to select certain items in the treeview
(highlight) and not others. I can handle the code that it
won't fire off anything if they select an item, but I can't
seem to figure out how they can't highlight the item. In my
treeview there are only 7 items, the first item I always
want the user to be able to select, the others I need to be
able to change whether they can be selected depending on the
data on the screen at the time. So is there anyway that if
a user clicks on an item the item doesn't get highlighted?
Also, please explain the state pictures, I'm not quite
following how to use those. Thanks.

As I suggested, use state images, preferrably, checkboxes, and use code
to disallow the checking (equivalent to highlight) of a given item's
checkbox.

AFAIK, there is no way to avoid the highlight alltogether, at least not
in native PowerScript (how's your C++?)

My C++ is awfully rusty, but thanks for the information.
