I am getting a "Select Error" in a data window, both in
preview mode and when running the deployed executable. I am
using PB 8.0.4 build 10501 and accessing data from and
Oracle 8.1 database. The error seems to be related to the
size of the data set. If I retreive a data set that is <
402 rows it works, if I try 402 or greater I get the doalog
saying "select error." When I cut and paste the sql into an
isql window I get a result set without an error message and
I get all of the data. Is there a limitation? I have
googled the web and looked through all of the docs on the CD
and cannot find any documentation on a limit.

Thanks

Most of the time I see a 'select error' it's because the size of one
or more of the string datatype columns in the datawindow is smaller
than the data that is actually being returned from the database. It
works fine for the rows where the data is smaller than the column, but
when the data comes back larger than the column you get the error.

Generally this happens because the size of a column in the database
was increased sometime after the datawindow was created, and the
datawindow was never synched back up with the database.

Did you check your 402nd row whether it has any data which exceeds
corresponding column width defined in datawindow.
