Hi

I defined a datastore to be used by the SaveAs function only that I found
the columns, defined to be invisible in the data object painter, are visible
again in the output file. Is there anyway to hind those columns from the
output file?

TIA

As far as I know, no. SaveAs saves all of the columns in the select of the
underlying query. Depending on what you need, you could try using the
SaveAsAscii() method. This more closely represents what is displayed in the
datastore, but only saves it to an Ascii text file with some additional
arguments to set the separator and quote character.

Thanks
Doug

Issue a modify statement and destroy the columns in the result set.

I would suggest setting up the datastore to only have the columns you want
to save.
