This information is well documented in the ASA online docs:

What's New in SQL Anywhere Studio
12. Upgrading Software and Databases
- Upgrading Adaptive Server Anywhere

There are a few options available, but the best recommendation is to do
an unload/reload of your database using the dbunload command of the
version you are migrating to.

Your subject indicates that you are moving to ASA 8.0.1. Is there a
particular reason for that choice? According to the Supported Platform
matrix:

http://www.ianywhere.com/products/supported_platforms.html

8.0.1 is already an "archived" version. The currently active 8.x
release is 8.0.3 (I notice the matrix needs updating...I'll let someone
know). However, you might consider the move to ASA 9.x which has many
great new features and performance improvements.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

we have bought pb9.0 two month ago and I'm using ASA 8.01.2601 which was
delivered with Powerbuilder! Is ASA 9.x distributed with pb 10? What are
the costs
for an upgrade on ASA 9.x..

Kind regards

Petra Scheibel-Lang

For pricing of ASA, you will need to contact your PB sales rep or
someone from the iAnywhere Sales group:

http://www.ianywhere.com/buy/index.html

As for ASA 8.x, you can download EBFs and maintenance releases from the
"EBFs/Patches" link at:

http://www.ianywhere.com/buy/index.html

Hope this helps,
