We have loaded EDF 1899 and EBF 1912, but these updates have caused
different problems to occur. In particular these patches cause the creation
of stored procedure to take over two hours when run threw our PowerBuilder
application. But, run the same stored procedure with Interactive SQL it
takes an only a couple of seconds.

Sorry this is so long, but this has been a real pain to trouble shoot.

Thanks,

Robert

Please, always post the version of ASA that you are using along with the
build (or EBF) number.

-85 and -308 are both connectivity errors. Has anything else changed
that might be causing your client to not connect or to lose
connectivity? You might consider adding the "-z" option to the database
engine startup to track connectivity issues and possibly "-zr all -zo
request.log" to see when/if the SQL statement is getting to the engine
and how long it takes for the statement to complete.

Greg,

Here is the rest of the story for this problem. We are running version
9.0.1.1841, and when a client gets this error, they run REBUILD.BAt and it
seems to fix the problem temporarily. This will also occur on some
standalone clients, which is baffling. The extract our clients are running
works with SQL Anywhere versions 5, 6, and 7.

Thanks,

Robert
