In the retrievend event of a datawindow on a tabpage we are
doing a calculation and using setitem to assign the
calculation. It is causing pendingupdates to be triggered
on the window even when there are no changes made except for
the assignment. Is there a way to reset pending updates ?

Is this for PowerBuilder or DataWindow .NET? If it is PowerBuilder see
the SetItemStatus method in the help file.

If it is DataWindow .NET see the SetItemStatus and SetRowStatus
methods in the help.

Is the calculation something that couldn't better be handled by a
computed column? If not, the you'll need to use the SetItemStatus
method to set the column you modified via SetItem back to a
NotModified! status.
